PAUANUI WATERWAYS is New Zealand’s most highly regarded canal resort development situated within the sheltered waters of the Tairua Harbour on the East coast of the North Island’s picturesque Coromandel Peninsula.

It is about two hours drive or a 30-minute charter flight from Auckland. Pauanui’s town centre is well serviced with its own boutique shopping centre.

There are many activities conveniently located to satisfy the most discerning holidaymaker. Choose from one of two nine hole golf courses or the nearby eighteen-hole championship course at Pauanui Lakes Resort. Tennis courts and sports grounds are all within walking distance.

If you enjoy outdoor recreation there are numerous mountain bike trails and walkways including the recommended hike to the top of Mt Pauanui, which affords a wonderful vista along the coastline.

Within half an hour of casting off from your own private waterfront lodge dock you could be chasing game fish, diving in crystal clear waters of the Pacific Ocean, or cruising the Coromandel Peninsula’s spectacular bush clad coast line.

Charter boat services and helicopter excursions can all be provided directly from the lodge.
