Marsden Cove

MARSDEN COVE is located just inside the picturesque Whangarei Harbour and less than two hours drive (132km) north from Auckland, New Zealand's biggest city.

Whangarei, New Zealand’s northern most city is approximately half an hour’s drive (20km) away.

Marsden Cove not only offers boat owners convenient all tide and weather access to and from the ocean via a picturesque deep water harbour, it is easily reached by road from State Highway One. Close by is the beautiful 23km long ocean beach of Bream Bay.

It is the perfect base for exploring New Zealand’s most sought after northern cruising, diving and game fishing grounds. If you do not wish to venture far the vast sheltered waters of Whangarei Harbour offer plenty of opportunity for marine recreation.

Up and down the coast within a few hours cruising is a vast choice of beautiful islands and beaches all including the Poor Knights Marine Reserve and Hen & Chicken Islands.

Charter boat services and helicopter excursions can all be provided directly from the lodge.
